It helped me remember that I have a Sweetheart that was planted about 2 years ago. (Maybe a little more). It was really struggling with the leaves getting paler. I went down to Going Bananas and was told that the Lychee needs Iron. Even more important, was that it was a jungle tree that needed the composting soils with all the microbes. (Duh! major ah ha moment). Well...I went home and pulled the blocks away and emptied the composter around the little one. The change was amazing. Within a month or two, and a little pruning it sprang to life with beautiful verdant leaves. (sigh of relief!) So my little Sweetheart has doubled in size. I don't expect any fruit anytime soon, just happy with a beautiful tropical.
